Fulham defender Alfie Mawson has heaped praise on fellow summer recruit Jean Michael Seri after his impressive start to life in the Premier League.
Mawson, who joined from relegated Swansea City, spoke of Seri’s ‘composure’ and ‘quality’ on the ball in an interview in the Daily Mirror.
Seri moved to West London in a deal worth £25m from Nice, and the move is regarded as somewhat of a coup considering the 27-year-old was on the verge of signing for Barcelona last summer.
He also courted interest from the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool before signing on the dotted line at Craven Cottage.

His ability has shone through, starting all of the Cottagers’ Premier League fixtures to date and scoring a stunning goal from all of 25 yards against Burnley.
Mawson revealed his ‘scary’ talent on the training pitch and matchday, saying:
He is a great player. He frightens you sometimes. In that split second he gets you out of trouble. You hold your breath sometimes watching him, but he always gets it right. In training he is unreal – the most calm fella you will ever meet. He really brings that composure in midfield.
He covers more ground than anyone, The quality on the ball is a different level, better than any player I have ever played with. You trust him in all sorts of areas, and he can also score goals like he did last week. He has a few years for people to see his best, which is just scary.
Mawson himself made his full debut for Fulham in the 2-2 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday following his £15m move.
