St Etienne midfielder Ole Selnaes has admitted there was interest in his services from Fulham during the summer transfer window.
HITC cite an interview with French outlet But! in which the 24-year-old said that despite the interest, the Cottagers never made a formal offer to bring him to London.
Selnaes is a Norweigan international who has been with the French club since January of 2016, joining from Rosenborg.
Last season he started 23 Ligue 1 matches in the centre of midfield and enhanced his reputation as a combative player by picking up nine yellow cards.

Reports claim that Fulham were keen to sign him on loan to provide competition for Kevin McDonald.
On the speculation, Selnaes said:
(Fulham) have been following me for a while, even though nobody came to talk to me directly. I did not receive a proposal. My job is here. I am focused on Saint-Etienne. I am in the best place to develop myself, to flourish. I feel good here. I am focused on my season.
So far this season, manager Slavisa Jokanovic has mainly favoured a midfield trio of McDonald, Jean Michael Seri and Tom Cairney, but new signing Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has also featured.
When pressed further, Selnaes didn’t rule out leaving St Etienne at some point in the future:
We’ll see. Maybe one day I’ll be strong enough to play in a top club. I’m lucky to be in a big club. We’ll see if one day I can be in an even bigger club.
