Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic claims Tom Cairney has the quality to represent England or Scotland at international level.
Sky Sports report that Cairney is yet to decided on his international allegiance having featured in two friendlies for the Scots.
The 27-year-old was born in Nottingham but qualifies for the Tartan Army through his Scottish father, and represented Scotland at U19 and U21 level.
However, the playmaker was left out of Alex McLeish’s latest squad on Monday, although the manager claimed speculation surrounding his future was not part of his decision.

Cairney started the first three Premier League matches of the Premier League season for the Cottagers but has since made just one substitute appearance after struggling with niggling injuries.
On the player’s international capability, Jokanovic said:
He is definitely a quality player. His choice at the moment is Scotland but there is a possibility he could switch in another direction. I believe he is a useful player for many coaches. For me, he is useful for both the Scottish and English national coaches too.
He showed his quality over the last few seasons. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t start this Premier League season with enough good luck, with this injury situation with him. Soon he will be in his highest level.
Cairney will be hoping to feature when Arsenal visit Craven Cottage on Sunday.
