Shea Charles at Fulham

Shea Charles completed a transfer to Fulham on 11 August 2026. The monumental move from Southampton involved a significant fee of 30,400,000, ultimately making him Northern Ireland's most expensive footballer. He committed his long-term future by signing a contract running to 30 June 2031. He now plays his domestic football at Craven Cottage, the historic 25,700-capacity stadium located on Stevenage Road in London. At the club, Charles was officially assigned the number 19 shirt. He features prominently under the guidance of the current manager, as detailed in the Arbeloa profile.

Arriving as a major investment for the team, Charles brings top-flight experience and international pedigree to the pristine grass surface of West London. His arrival in August 2026 marked a major milestone in his professional journey. The club, originally founded in 1879, continues to meticulously build its squad, and securing this high-profile transfer clearly demonstrates their ongoing ambition in the transfer market. Wearing the number 19, he remains an integral part of the tactical setup as he heads towards the conclusion of his extensive contract in 2031, with fans following his progress via the official club website at https://www.fulhamfc.com.

Career before Fulham

Before arriving in West London, Shea Charles steadily built his professional experience across multiple clubs. Born on 5 November 2003, he developed his early game at Manchester City. He officially made his professional and Premier League debut for Manchester City against Brentford on 28 May 2023. International recognition also came early in his development; he proudly became Northern Ireland's youngest-ever senior team captain when leading the national team against Kosovo on 24 September 2022.

On 12 July 2023, Charles took the next step and transferred from Manchester City U21 to Southampton for a considerable fee of 12,250,000. During his time contracted to Southampton, he also spent a valuable spell away from the club to gain further playing time. On 27 August 2024, he moved to Sheffield Wednesday, remaining there to develop his game until returning to Southampton on 31 May 2025. Following his return, he eventually finalised his permanent departure from Southampton in the summer of 2026 to join his current team.
